Fred She Said Wee Humming Bird and Petunias

Here is a new image from Fred She Said called Wee Humming Bird and Petunias. You can find this beautifully colored image HERE. Aren't the humming birds just darling! The flowers are just made for layering and glittering.

Tracey has colored these images for you. You can make up a card real quick with these digital images. They layer beautifully.
I loved layering these humming birds on top of the die cuts. We have humming birds that look just like these here in Georgia. They come every year and live in the trees in my back yard. They are so fun to watch.
Here are the particulars:

Spellbinders: Scalloped Oval Nesties. Parisian Motifs
Martha Stewart: Deco Flowers Punch Around the Page
Misc: Pearls, Crystal Stickles, Ribbon, Prima Flower
Paper: K & Company

Here is a peek at the inside of my card. I had some extra humming birds so I used them and popped they up. Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate your comments and visits.

Fred She Said Snow Flower

Welcome to my blog today. Today I worked on this image that has intimidated me for a while just because I wasn't sure how to color it. But Tracy at Fred She Said came through and just recently colored the Spring Flower set of digi's. So without further ado, I have now done each flower in the set at least once! You can find this beautiful set of Spring Flowers at the Fred She Said Store HERE.

So I just sat out in my craft room last night (It's actually a Florida Room that faces my back yard) and started playing with my dies. I have several different dies from different sets on this card. That is the beauty of doing your own thing. You can use whatever works for you....no rules!!! lol I love white cards so I decided to just use white card stock and I distressed inked the edges with "old paper" distress ink which I picked up for 50 cents at a yard sale not long ago. It works good and has lots of ink!!!!

You can see this beautiful image and how I trimmed the edge with square pearls and fuzzy cut the flowers and put them on dimensional pads for interest.

Here is what I used:
Spellbinders: Fleur de Lis Squares, Floral Doily Accent, Fleur de Lis Pendant
Marthat Stewart: Small Butterfly, Chrysanthemum Large Punch
Cuttlebug Folders: Swiss Dot, Lrg folder from Sentimental Set
Misc: Rhinestones, Square Pearls, Diamond Stickles, Ribbon

Here's a peek at the inside. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have enjoyed your visit. I will be back tomorrow with another card so be sure to stop by. We are so busy right now with Graduation-I will be away from the computer for a week.

Belle Notte - Prom 2011

It's Prom Night for my youngest son Ryan. I guess you could say that after all these years, my husband and I still think "romantically". lol You see we planned Ryan's evening for him and his date Taylor. We thought it would be nice to get them reservations at a restaurant in Jacksonville called Marggiano's. It's a classy Italian restaurant that we felt would make them feel good to go to in their formal wear.
So that is how this card was born to give to them when they got to the restaurant. I did it in shades of teal to match Taylor's dress. My husband and I couldn't help but think of the Lady and the Tramp while sending these two very dear children off on their big night.

This is the inside of the card. I have placed the words to the Bella Notte song inside the card. Everyone remembers that sweet romantic scene in the movie. Here are the words:

On this is the night
It's a beautiful night
And they call it bella notte
Look at the skies
They have stars in their eyes
On this lovely bella notte
Side by side with your love one
You will find the enchantment here
The night will weave its magic spell
When the one you love is near, Oh
This is the night
And the heavens are right
On this lovely bella notte!

Here is the inside with all the things that I made that slip out of the little holder where they can put pictures of their special night together. There is room for 4 pictures and journeling. I made this card in about an hour. We went to take pictures and before they left, I gave it to them and told them to open it at the restaurant. My dh and I signed it "May All Your Dreams Come True", Have a Happy Prom 2011.
Here is the happy Prom Couple!

Teapot-Home Sweet Home

Today I am showing you the card I made for this weeks Teapot Challenge. Our cards are going to Charlene to bring her some cheer. Charlene lives in Washington State and is terminally ill. She was a Realtor so we were supposed to do a house or something to go in and around the house or flowers.
I don't know if I had mention this before, but before I moved to Georgia my husband and I had built our dream home of a Log Cabin(that is the ultimate craft project!)lol. Log Homes are near and dear to my heart so I thought I would bring one to Charlene.
I included this sentiment as I though as a Realtor she would get a kick out of it. A bit of Realtor humor.
Recipe

My paper is from K & Company (Can you tell how much I like their paper).
Punches: Martha Stewart Set Deco Flowers, Fence Border Punch, Frond Punch

Tilda With Cherries in the Gerber Daisies

Hi Blog Friends! As an Artist and a Card-marker do you sometimes find inspiration in the beauty around you. Back in the Spring of 2009 when I was laid off from my job, I took to gardening. I couldn't afford much, (still can't even with a job as it pays so much less)so I went to the clearance section and bought Gerber Daisies for less than $2 a pot. Those poor things had no flowers and were on their last leg. But I took them home and planted them just outside my backdoor in a vinette where I have English Ivy on a Trellis and a bird bath. Well those Gerber Daisies are yellow and beautiful this year. Their beauty inspired me to create this card.
Meet Tilda with Cherry Basket. Isn't she sweet. I just love these images. I saw the sketch at the Crafting Life's Pieces Challenge and just had to play along. This delightful paper is from K & Company and is so pretty with the Yellow Gerber Daisies on it and little touches of blue and of course green.
I used the following Supplies:
Spellbinders Dies- Square, Labels 6, Butterfly
Martha Stewart - Double Loop Deep Edge, and Frond Punches
Marvy Punch for the Daisies
Misc: Blue Rhinestones, Blue Rhinestone Flourish from Micheal's, White Glitter Chipboard Flourishes, Lace, Yellow Stickles, Blue Stickles, Crystal Stickles.

This is a picture of the card with the envelope box I created as this card is a little on the thick side.
And this is the inside...of course, with a card decorated so much on the inside it would be kinda thick don't ya think!!! lol Thanks for stopping by today. This card is being sent off to my wonderful Mother for Mother's Day. I am sending more Chocolates too!!!
