CottageCutz Tussy Mussy

Hello Friends.  Well I have been MIA for a bit.  Seems I caught that "junk" going around and it put me down for a few days including being out of work for several.  I have been playing catch up.  While under the weather, I came across this challenge on YouTube.  It's a TP Roll challenge to make a Tussy Mussy.  Well as soon as I felt better, I just had to try my hand at it.
For this one the Eiffel Tower, Lamp, & Poodle Die was used.  The inside was lined with black cardstock  I stamped a piece of white cardstock with a Large French Script Stamp that I got at a yard sale for 50 cents.  Upon inquiring about this stamp the best I can come up with is that it may have been a Stampin Up stamp but I am not sure.  I then distressed with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and  glued to the tp roll.  The bottom was then hot glued together to form the holder.  I used some trim that I bought a long time about that is beaded and had that fufu on it.  The heart is a Martha Stewart Punch that was glued to black cardstock.  It was cut free hand so it would show up on the paper.  The heart on the Eiffel tower is a Recollection sticker, the flowers were in my stash.   The pink rhinestone flourish is also from Recollection.  Gathered lace was attached around the opening to dress it up and more eyelash yarn was glued at the top to compliment the bottom treatment.   The handle was punched with Martha Stewarts Heart border and glued to each side.  Little bows were made with ribbon and adhered to the handles on each side to dress it up.  This is ready to have  Hershey's Chocolate kisses to be placed inside!
You know once you do one you can't just stop there!  Just try it, you will see what I mean.  They are so fun to make you can't stop at one.   So here is another one I made using the CottageCutz Small Teacup Die and the CottageCutz Tea Time Doily.    This was made from various laces and Recollection trim and flourish pearls.  The sentiment was created in word and cut with a heart shape die with pearls applied around the edge.  The doily was folder over about 3/4's and glued to the tp roll.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I sure do appreciate it.  If you are interested in the challenge, you can find it on YouTube.  Just type in the words TP challenge and you will see all the beautiful entries....they are amazing.  Here are the dies I used:

CottageCutz Sewing Machine

Hooray for the weekend.  Hope your weekend is all you want it to be.  I have been away for a bit as I have been working on a project that I am still not finished yet.  Today I have a card for CottageCutz made with some of the new Vintage release dies.  This card is made with:
The edges of the paper have been sewn with a real sewing machine.  The paper punched lace at the top is embellished with real buttons with crochet thread bows to compliment the real lace at the bottom.  The mini dress form is mounted on a teabag folded flower that looks like a quilt square in real life.  The camera just did not pick up the lovely dimension.  A button was attached to the center of the dress form and another bow made from crochet thread was attached.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful "crafty" weekend!  Here are the dies used:

CottageCutz Victorian Fountain

Hello friends and bloggers.  Today is a Cottage Cutz creation using the Victorian Fountain and Greenery dies for The Scrapping Cottage.  I tried to create a Sepia color in keeping with a Victorian theme and used Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink for that purpose.
The Fountain was cut with brown cardstock and white cardstock that was distressed with the Brushed Corduroy on the edges.  The greenery was cut with green cardstock.  The flowers were made with a Marvey punch, white cardstock and distressed with Brushed Corduroy.

Thanks for stopping by and viewing my newest creations.  If feels so good to be back in the craft room creating again after the little break I took.  See you again soon!

Thinking of You

How is it that taking down your Christmas decorations is such a huge project.  It's like Humpty Dumpty to get everything back together again.  The cleaning, the organizing, and the putting away plumb wears me out.  So I did have a little bit of time to play this weekend.
Here is a card I made for the Teaparty over at Splitcoast Stampers.  My card is going to Texas this week to Sherry who needs a pick-me-up.  We are to bring flower and we get extra cookies for a butterfly or two.  I managed a couple of butterflies!

Got to play with my new Marianne and Joy Craft dies.  The roses are Spellbinders and the punch around the page is Martha Stewart.   The paper is K & Company and I sprinkled some pearls about along with some stickles.  The stamped sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I really appreciate it.  I will see you soon.
