Blue Hydrandgea Card and Gift Set

Yes, back again with more Hydrangeas!  Blue this time.  Don't you think I am going to be ready for any gift giving occasion now.  For a heads up, I've got one more set to share after this one.
The hydrangeas are so fun to make with a Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch.  The butterflies are also a Martha Stewart punch.  Shabby Shutters and Salty Ocean Distress ink was used to color the flowers.  The leaves are a Prima die and colored with Peeled Paint distress ink.  Spellbinders-Nestabilities Die-Labels 47 Decorative Elements was used on the card for the background.
This is an  altered "Laughing Cow" cheese box.  It could hold a gift card or some sweet treats and makes a great presentation.
The Brenda Walton Note Pad die was used to create this sticky note cover.  It makes another lovely addition to the gift set.
Thanks so much for stopping by today to view my project.  I have one more set to show you and then on to another project.  Until next time.....Happy Crafting.

Pink Hydrangea Gift Set and Card

Hello friends and fellow crafters.  It's a beautiful summer day in August here in Georgia.  For today's post, a gift set has been created with beautiful Hydrangeas.  They are a beautiful summer flower aren't they?  Over the next few blog posts, you will be seeing the Hydrangeas that I have been creating.
They are just so much fun that I just kept creating!  For this give set, as you see above, I altered a "Laughing Cow" cheese box.  This can be used to present a gift card in or some nice candy.
For the card, I used an off centered Spellbinders-Nestabilities Die-Labels 47 Decorative Elements.  The hydrangeas were created with a Martha Stewart punch and colored with distress ink in Victorian Velvet and Shabby Shutters.

The butterflies are also a Martha Stewart punch.  The leaves are a Prima die colored with Peeled Paint distress inks.
As part of the gift set, the Brenda Walton Note Pad Cover die was used for a pad of post-it notes.  I just so happens that I made extra small hydrangeas that I didn't want to go to waste-so I thought to do this.
Here's a close up of the pretty flowers.  I used "Prills" for the centers.  It was a super fun project.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I appreciate your visit and look forward to your return.  Until next time.....Happy Crafting!

Inkadinkado and Elizabeth Craft Garden Notes Hydrandgea Card

Happy Wednesday everybody!  Remember my previous post?  Yeah, I was saying how Sunflowers was one of my favorite images.....well....what do you think?   Isn't this Hydrangea image the bomb?  I have used this stamp a few times in the past.....I still love it.  But I took it up another notch.  The stamp is an  old Inkadinkado and the die is Elizabeth Craft Garden Notes.
How awesome is it that these paper hydrangeas are an embellishment?  Oh, they were so fun to make.  They were created with an Elizabeth Craft Susan's Garden Hydrangea die.  They were really easy peasy!
The flower plate was cut out 4 times.  Distress inks were used to color the flowers and "Prills" were used for the centers.....just like the stamped image.  I love this die and see myself using it again soon.
The stamped image was mounted on a Spellbinders die.  The corners are a Marianne die.  Thanks so much for stopping by today to check this out.  Until next time......Happy Crafting!

Stamped Sunflower Card

Greetings friends.  One of my favorite images to craft with are Sunflowers.  I have a collection of Sunflower stamps and this is one that I colored with Copic markers quite a while ago.  Would you believe that I don't have any cards in my stash for sending to friends and loved ones.  For the next several post I will be sharing cards that are an attempt to build up my stash.  Pssst.....don't say anything, but I have been working on a couple Christmas items in-between....lol
One of the best purchase I made this last year is a Brother ScanNCut.  Oh my, it sure does cut out your stamped images beautifully.  These sunflowers were cut from the main image to accent the bottom portion of the easel card.  It compliments the main focal point.
The main image is layered with extra sunflowers for depth and a 3D look.  It's mounted on a Spellbinders die.  The corners are Cheery Lynn and the top scallops are La La Land.
Thank you so much for stopping by today to view this project.  This is going in the stash for an upcoming Birthday.  Love the bright cheerful colors and the beautiful Sunflowers to send to someone to brighten their special day.  Until next time.....Happy Crafting!

Valentine Altered Spool

Greetings Everyone!  Well this is one of those projects I forgot to post from Valentine's Day....lol  Since I write my blog and post pictures of my projects to keep a history of my "Crafting Journey", I thought "hey why not post it now"!!!  lol  What you are looking at is an altered ribbon spool.  I just covered the plain cardboard with designer paper, used some lace and made some flowers to decorate it.
The darker pink roses were made with a punch and the lighter pink are rolled roses.  The little boy and girl ephemera is from K& Company.  The hearts were cut with a Spellbinders set and I also used crepe paper for the background element.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and viewing this project.  Until next time.....Happy Crafting.

Sizzix Butterfly Lantern

Hello my friends and fellow crafters!  For today's post, here is a cute little project using the Sizzix Butterfly Lantern die.  What fun these little lanterns were to create.  I placed tea lights inside them and they are just darling.  I could image using these at place settings for a dinner party or for a holiday tablescape.

The lanterns were cut on heavy black cardstock (the kind that Michael's sells now)  Viva Inka Gold paint in silver was rubbed onto the cardstock to create this beautiful metallic antique look to the lantern.
As you can see I used various colorations of flowers for the lanterns.  The Flowers were created with Tim Holtz Tiny Tattered floral die.  The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.
These are just so pretty.  So many possibilities.  In fact, I did them in another configuration that I will be posting soon.  So keep checking as I have lots more projects to share.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny Black Pansy Bouquet Card

Hello friends.  Today's card was created with a Penny Black wood mounted rubber stamp.  The name on the stamp is Pansy Bouquet.  The stamp is so pretty.  For coloring inspiration, I googled "Pansies" for some ideas on how to color these sweet flowers.
Pansies are a french word meaning thought or remembrance.  This card is going in my stash for when I want to let someone know I am thinking of them.  The stamped image was cut out on my Brother Cut N Scan.  I love that machine-it cuts a perfect border around the stamp.  The image was then mounted on a Spellbinders Lacy Circle and again on a Joy! Craft Square Frame.  Spellbinders Triple Floral is the next die and the background is a Martha Stewart Pansy Punch Around the Page Punch.
Wink of Stella was used on the stamped image-you can't see it in the picture.  It was the first time I used it.  I still think I love and prefer Stickles.  For the corner adornment, just the pansy was cut out and mounted on a Cottage Cutz leaf die.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I have more projects to share this week.  Be sure to check back soon.  Until next time......Happy Crafting!

Baby Shower Decorations

Greetings everyone! Back today with the last of the Shower decorations and a few pictures of the Baby Shower.  This banner was created on the Cricut with Mother's Day Floral Bouquet and Fontastic Fonts cartridge.  A fun project and here are all the banners that I made:
Here is the banner that says Sweet Baby Girl outside the food tent.
The other banner with "Emma" was inside the tent.  This is how the decorations from previous post on my blog were set up.  I created the cake and placed Rosettes in the center that I made as the cake topper.  The cake plate is the type you can thread ribbon through to match your cake.  I tied tulle to make a tutu on the base....super cute.
Here is the back yard before the guest arrived.  It was so pretty.  There were tiki torches for the evening.    If you would like to see more details and get products used, there are two videos to watch that are attached here.  Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!

Baby Shower Gable Box Favors

Aren't these gable boxes cute!  Love how they turned out.  These were so fun to make and may I add quick and easy.  The shower is Elephant themes and co-ed so these are for the guys.  You know what?  They are filled with peanuts too!  A great guy snack, right!   lol
The paper is from JoAnn's and it's a Darice brand in Hot Pink and Turquoise.  I just love the color combination.  The little elephants have Recollection stickers on them.  This gable box die is so useful I can see myself using it again and again for different Holidays.
Thanks so much for stopping by today to view this project.  Sure do appreciate it.  I have more projects to post so be sure to keep checking.  Until next time......Happy Crafting!  Here is a list with links to the dies:

Baby Shower Elephant Centerpiece

Look what's happening at the Hurlock house.  Our family is growing with the addition of a sweet baby girl grand-daughter.  This was created for the shower we were supposed to have, but Emma decided to make her appearance a month early.....lol  The theme is elephants, of course.
This elephant was created with the Cricut "Everyday Pop-up Card" Cartridge.  Years ago I never thought I would love my cricut so much, but I do.  I'm a die cut girl-but the cricut adds another level to my crafting.
The base is a 4-3/4 x 4-3/4" box from the "Dollar General".  The top of the box was not used.  A green piece of floral foam was glued to the bottom of the box.  The ribbon is from the "Dollar Store".  Tulle was tied with wire and tucked into the foam.  The pink paper picks are from Michael's and they have little half pearls glued to the center.
Here's a look at the back.  Two elephants were made and a straw glued to the center to attach to this box.  Thanks so much for stopping by today to view this project.  I have more cute Baby Shower things to share, so be sure to check back for more soon.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Elizabeth Crafts Daffodil

Hello Crafters!!!   The Scrapbook Expo was in Orlando this past weekend.  It's an event that happens once a year and I look forward to going to.  While at the Expo I came across the Elizabeth Crafts Designs booth.  I fell in love with all the flower dies and just had to have this Daffodil.
There's lots of dimension in these gorgeous flowers.  They are easy to make.  I used watercolor paper and distress stains and inks to color the flowers.

This was so much fun to create.  I have lots of plans in the future for this beautiful die.  To create the sparkly effect diamond stickles were painted on the flowers and allowed to dry.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to check back as I have a ton of things to share.....I just need to catch up with loading photos.  Until nest time, Happy Crafting!

CottageCutz Teapot & Teacup with Prima

This is another card with the CottageCutz Teapot and Teacup die with Prima Tales of You & Me paper.  LOVE that paper.....lol  Although I did this card in blue, this one has a little bit different configuration with dies and embossing.  Along with the Marieanne Designs background dies the Cheery Lynn corner dies were used.
The roses are created with a Marvy Punch and the edges were distressed with "brushed corduroy" distress ink.  Thanks so much for stopping by to view this creation.  Sure do appreciate it.  Until next time.  Happy Crafting!

Sizzix Fresh Brewed Card

In honor of a very good friend of mine opening his own Coffee Shop on Monday, I wanted to share this card created with the Sizzix Fresh Brewed die by Tim Holtz.  Let me mention that he is  a wonderful friend and took all my family in during the Hurricane last October when we had no where else to go.  We were teasing him that he could be our middle son.  I am so proud of him and wish him all the best in this new endeavor.
This is a fun die and I love the sizzix embossing folder that matches it.  This card could be considered masculine with the absences of bows and flowers.    Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Until next time, Happy Crafting.  See you again soon.

Spellbinders Sunflower Birthday Card

Hello fellow crafters.  As you only have probably guessed by now is that I have a love affair with dies!!!  Creating with dies is such a pleasurable undertaking.  Even the painstakingly tedious process of assembling flowers.  And boy, went to you see the tiny flowers that I will share with you soon that I created....lol   For this card the Spellbinders Sunflower die was used.  The garden gate in the background is also a spellbinders die.  The little owl was a metal piece that I painted with acrylic paint.
Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, and Tie Dyed distress ink was used to color the sunflowers.  A nice chunky brown glitter creates that sparkly center.  It's a bright attention grabbing focal point.  Thanks so much for stopping by today to view this card.  It is greatly appreciated.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!
